Pantoum - Bat Country

There’s a bat in my house

There are bats in my head

They all want out

I just want it to end

There are bats in my head

Flapping, wildly about

I just want it to end

But, they won’t give it a rest

Flapping, wildly about

On their leathery little wings

They won’t give it a rest

I think they’re driving me mad

On their leathery little wings

They tap out a beat

They’re driving me mad

Crazy with their disco heat

They tap out a beat

These bats in my head

Crazy from their disco heat

Sanities at an end

These bats in my head

Thoughts of a flying mouse

Sanities at its end

Did I mention, I’ve a bat in my house?
